FROM LAW TO GRACE

Some Spiritual Gifts and Requirements That Ceased
Evidence of being filled by the Holy Spirit in “time past” was shown by speaking in tongues, divine healing, divine power, divine knowledge and performing miracles.
Mark 16:16-18 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
Acts 2:1-4 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

All of these “Spiritual Gifts” and Requirements including Water Baptism; Tithing, Selling everything you own; Taking up Serpents; Drinking Deadly Poison, Speaking in Tongues; Raising the Dead; Laying hands on to heal the sick; Divine Healing; Casting out devils; Divine intervention; God the Father audibly speaking to you; God speaking to you in Dreams or Visions; New Revelations; Angels intervening; Saints given supernatural power and supernatural knowledge; Miracles, Signs and Wonders; and Supernatural gifts, were given to Israel, not the Body of Christ.
All of these miraculous signs and wonders faded away, disappeared and eventually ceased when this Dispensation of Grace began, and when the bible was completed by the Apostle Paul and when the Lord Jesus Christ began the transition from His “Time Past” Law program to His “But Now” Grace program. Then, all of these supernatural gifts were no longer needed to prove that the Holy Spirit indwelt a believer. And now abideth these three: Faith, Hope and Charity. For we walk by Faith not by Sight!
Today, in this Dispensation of Grace, the fruit of the Holy Spirit in a believer is the urgency to pray the Lord Jesus Christ save lost souls by shining the light of the glorious gospel of Christ to this lost and dying world, and praying that their hearts and minds are opened to believe it. Our fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith, and longing to be approved unto God, not men, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. We are not to judge who is saved and who has the Holy Spirit in them. This is between them and the Lord. The Lord knows them that are his.
2Tim 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

1Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.
Eph 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Gal 5:22-24 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
1Cor 13:8-10 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1Cor 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
2Cor 12:9-10 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
Col 1:24-27 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
