Celebration of Life

THE GOD OF ALL COMFORT

Rom 10:17    So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

2Cor 1:3-10    Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.  And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.

For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:  But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:   Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

Psa 121:1-2   I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Luke 23:43    And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

2Cor 4:14-18    Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Rev 21:4    And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Psa 116:15    Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.

WHAT HAPPENS TO A BELIEVER WHEN THEY DIE?

ABSENT FROM THE BODY = PRESENT WITH THE LORD!

2Cor 5:6-8    Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Php 1:21-22     For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.  For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

WHEN WILL WE GET OUR NEW BODIES
AND WHAT WILL THEY BE LIKE?

1Cor 15:51-57     Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.  O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?  The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Php 3:21    Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

THE PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE

Col 3:4    When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

1Thes 1:10    And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.

1Thes 4:13-18     But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.  For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Titus 2:13     Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

HOW CAN I KNOW THAT GOD IS REAL?

For what saith the scripture?

Gen 1:1    In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Psa 90:2      Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.

Isa 40:22-23     It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity.

Isa 45:18      For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

John 1:1-5     In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

John 14:6     Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

HOW CAN WE BE SAVED RIGHT NOW?

BELIEVE THE GOSPEL OF THE GRACE OF GOD WHICH IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST’S FINISHED WORK AT CALVARY:  1Cor 15:1-4   Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

DO I HAVE TO PRAY THE SINNER’S PRAYER, WALK AN AISLE, CONFESS MY SINS, GET WATER BAPTIZED, OR DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN JUST TRUSTING CHRIST ALONE, IN HIS DEATH, BURIAL AND RESURRECTION TO GET SAVED?

ANSWER:  NO.

Just trust the Lord Jesus Christ, and him alone for your salvation.  Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and his finished work on the cross right now, without trying to add any works of your own, right where you are, no matter how deep your sins, no matter how many sins, no matter what kind of sins you are guilty of, and the Lord Jesus Christ will forgive you all of your sins when you simply believe that He died your death at Calvary, was buried and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures. Just believe it, and God Almighty will save you immediately and spiritually baptize you into Christ, place you into the Body of Christ, and give you His righteousness and the gift of eternal life.

Eph 2:8-9      For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Col 1:13-14      Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

Rom 6:23    For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Rom 3:23-26      For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

Eph 1:6-7    To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AFTER I GET SAVED?

ANSWER:

The very second you believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again on the third day according to the scriptures, you are saved from hell; you have redemption through His blood; you receive eternal life; you are forgiven all of your sins past, present and future; you receive His righteousness; you are sealed by the Holy Spirit; you are baptized by the Holy Spirit into Christ; you are taken out of Adam and put into Christ; you are a member of the Body of Christ; you are saved by faith in His blood; you receive all spiritual blessings in heavenly places; you are the sons of God and joint heirs with Christ; you are washed, sanctified, and justified; you are delivered from the law of sin and death, the bondage of corruption, the law, and the wrath to come; you have the love, grace, mercy and peace of God Almighty; you have a Blessed Hope; you have a blessed assurance; you have the God of all comfort, you have Christ in you the Hope of Glory; you are a new creature; you are more than a conqueror; you are complete in Christ; you are accepted in the Beloved and have all the riches of Christ and so many more blessings; you are saved once and forever, as no one or anything can ever pluck you out of His hand.

ONCE I AM SAVED, CAN I EVER LOSE MY SALVATION?

John 10:28     And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Eph 1:13-14   In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Rom 8:31-39    What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.  For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Amen
