ORDER OF 14 BASIC FUTURE EVENTS

ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES

 1 - THE RAPTURE – Pre-trib (1Th 1:10); “Caught up” (1Th 4:13-18); “That Blessed Hope” (Titus 2:13); “The Day of Christ” (Php 1:10, 2:16; 2Th 2:2); “His Appearing” (Col 3:4; 2Tim 4:8); A Secret, peaceful event.  The Lord himself will descend down from heaven and bring the saints (the Body of Christ) that were in heaven with him into the clouds in the air.  Then we (the Body of Christ) which are alive and remain on the earth will be “caught up” to meet the Lord and the saints in the air.  (1Th 4:13-18) We will all be changed in the twinkling of an eye into our new bodies fashioned like unto the Lord’s glorious body. (1Cor 15:40, 51-54, Php 3:21).

2 - JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST (Rom 14:10; 2Cor 5:10) This will happen after the Rapture (2Tim 4:1,8).  This event is when the Body of Christ will receive a crown of righteousness (2Tim 4:8) and that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. The Body of Christ will be put on display in the Heavenlies for all the world to see. We will be seated in the Heavenlies with heavenly administrative positions. (Eph 1:3; 2:6-7; 3:10).  We have a home eternal in the heavens. (2Cor 5:1).  We will judge the angels (1Cor 6:3) and we will judge the world (1Cor 6:2).

3 - THE SEVEN YEARS OF TRIBULATION – GOD'S WRATH UPON THE EARTH - JACOB’S TROUBLE – DANIEL’S 70TH WEEK (Matt 24:21; Jer 30:7; Dan 9:24-27).  The 1st 3 ½ years of the Tribulation will be about the antichrist deceiving the nations with many signs and lying wonders.  Then after the first 3 ½ years Satan and his angels will be cast out of Heaven. (Rev 12:7-10) - And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. (Rev 12:12) - Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. The 2nd 3 ½ years are called the “The Great Tribulation” with the antichrist who is most likely Jewish (Dan 11:37) - Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. There will be many horrors and abominations.  (Dan 12:1-13; Rev 9:1-21).

​4 - THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST - coming all the way down from Heaven to the Earth.  The Lord’s eyes were as a flame of fire (Rev 19:12) and a sharp sword out of his mouth riding on a white horse with his heavenly army and mighty angels (Rev 19:14-15).  The Lord shall decend to the earth landing his feet on the mount of Olives (Zec 14:4) creating a huge holy mountain and valleys called Mount Zion.  Every eye will see this horrific event and unbelievers will fear for their lives. (Rev 1:7).  (Jude 1:14) - And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints; (Matt 25:31) - When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

5 - THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON (Rev 14:19-20) - And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. (Rev 16:15-16) - Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

 6 - SATAN BOUND IN THE BOTTOMLESS PIT FOR 1000 YEARS (Rev 20:3)

7 - EARTHLY KINGDOM ESTABLISHED – The old testament saints are resurrected into the new kingdom on earth.

They are raised up with new bodies (1John 3:2) with their sins blotted out and begin the earthly kingdom with the Lord Jesus Christ sitting on the throne of his glory and ruling the world with a rod of iron. (Rev 19:15).  (Rev 20:4-6) - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.   (Matt 24:31) - And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matt 19:28) - And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (Acts 3:19) - Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

8 - SATAN LOOSED FOR A LITTLE SEASON (Rev 20:3) - And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. 

​

9 - BATTLE OF GOG AND MAGOG (Rev 20:7-9) - And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

10 - SATAN CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR EVER AND EVER (Rev 20:10) - And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 - GREAT WHITE THRONE JUDGMENT AND THE BOOK OF LIFE (Rev 20:11-15) And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

12 - NEW HEAVEN AND A NEW EARTH (Rev 21:1-4) - And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.  And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.  And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.  And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

13 - THE NEW JERUSALEM - (Rev 3:12); THE BRIDE OF CHRIST - (Rev 21:2, 9); THE MOTHER OF US ALL - (Gal 4:26) - But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all. THE HEAVENLY JERUSALEM – MOUNT SION (Heb 12:22) - But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels; THE HOLY CITY – (Rev 21:2)  - And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. (Rev 21:9)  And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

14 - THE FULLNESS OF TIMES (Eph 1:10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
